Welcome to HabiCos. We value your privacy and believe in complete transparency. This Privacy Policy details how HabiCos collects, protects, and handles your data when you use our mobile application and website services.
2. Offline-First Architecture
HabiCos is built as an Offline-First cosplay companion app. This means the majority of your creation, design, and budget details are stored securely on your device's internal storage using an encrypted local database.
Important: Your local data (Cosplay Projects, Inventories, Budgets, and Journals) is never uploaded to our servers. Because of this, we cannot restore your local data if the app is uninstalled or if your device is reset. Please use our built-in Backup & Recovery utility to safeguard your records.
3. Information We Collect
When you create an account to unlock sync and community features, we collect the following limited data types:
- Authentication Credentials: Your name and email address for account creation and login services managed via Google Firebase Authentication.
- Public Profile Data: Your Stage Name (username) and Profile Picture (which you upload) to allow other cosplayers to find and identify you on the Moot Finder.
- Real-Time Coordinates: Your approximate and precise GPS location (latitude and longitude) is collected when you explicitly opt-in to the "Go Live" feature on the Moot Finder radar.
- Diagnostics & Logs: Device crash reports and stability logs collected automatically by Firebase Crashlytics to keep the app running smoothly.
4. Location Tracking & Sharing
The Moot Finder uses your device's GPS services. Location tracking is highly controlled:
- Location updates only occur when the app is actively open and you have toggled the "Go Live" button.
- Your coordinates are deleted from our cloud database as soon as you toggle "Go Ghost" or log out of the app.
- Your geographical coordinates are shared in real-time only with nearby authenticated HabiCos users. We do not store or sell historical location routes.
5. Encryption & Security
We use industry-standard security measures to keep your data safe. All network communication between the HabiCos application and Firebase cloud services is fully encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols. Locally stored configuration details are protected using EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256 GCM).
6. Account & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. You can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data at any time:
- In-App Deletion: Navigate to Settings -> Danger Zone -> tap "Delete My Account Permanently". This instantly and permanently deletes your authentication record, friends list, and profile data from our servers.
- Web Deletion Request: You can request complete deletion of your account and associated database details by emailing us at devjiyuu@gmail.com. We will process your request and wipe all associated data within 48 hours.
